“Love the art in yourself and not yourself in the art.” –Konstantin Stanislavsky
First off, I want to say how grateful I am for all of the people who’ve taken time to comment on my blog. Your kind words are motivation to keep me posting! Also, I want to thank the many of you who’ve emailed me recently to just say something nice. You have no idea how much each of those comments means to me, and how they inspire me to continue to move forward. Thank you!
Now onto the quote that I posted…I came across this recently, and it really stuck with me. I’m often asked by non-photographers is I ever get bored photographing newborns, or if I ever lose my inspiration. The answer is unequivocally NO. Each newborn is my muse, my source of inspiration. Even if I show up to a session feeling down or lacking ideas, it’s always the baby that drives my passion and helps me create art. THEY are the art–not what I do with them, or how I pose them. Each one is a masterpiece just by merely existing. It’s with humility and love that I have the honor to be there to document these little handiworks of heaven.
