Photographing newborns is like therapy for me. It’s a catharsis of sorts, and I always feel a sense of renewal when I’m finished. There’s something about 3 intense and focused hours with a newborn that makes you forget all about your trivial problems and worries, and fills you with a sense of peace that all is right with the world.

Meet Viana, 9 days and oh-so-gorgeous. She was either wide awake and wonderfully alert, or sound asleep when we were together.  I don’t think she fussed once the entire time! I had a very difficult time choosing which images to post from her session because there were a lot that I really liked, so I included a few more than I normally do.
