Yes, yes…I’m still alive! My log has been severely neglected, but I have so many newborns that I’d like to share. Instead of doing a post for each one of them, here’s some of my favorites from April and May. I’ll save June for another day!

gift

This little man here doesn’t yet realize just how incredibly special he is…but his parents sure do. They waited a long, long time for him, and I’ll bet they’d tell you that he has made every second of that wait worth it.

Congratulations ‘C’ family–he is precious beyond words!

wish

Oh how I loved these little girls! Their mother told me that her first-born daughter had been wishing and wishing for a little sister for a long time, and she finally got her wish. There was such a natural sweetness and bond between these two. I am beyond lucky to witness these tender moments and have the privilege of calling it my “job”.

Meet Kai–another preemie I had the opportunity to photograph this past fall. This little guy made it home from the NICU just in time for Thanksgiving–what a wonderful gift to be thankful for!

someone special

First off, rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated! I’m still alive and kicking, but I’m hopelessly behind in my blogging. I’m slowly trying to catch up.

How can I best express the wonder and amazement I felt during this session? I photographed little Judah in the NICU, where he had been spending the first 3 months of his life. He was born about 15 weeks before his due date, so our session was anything but “normal”. Despite the fluorescent lights, standing on hospital furniture to get good angles, and the loud beeping of heart and breathing monitors, Judah proved to be quite the champ. He is *truly* a miracle in every way possible.
